Baseball Nails 2015 #5: OPI Short-Stop!

Welcome back!

The other night I went to another baseball game with my family, so I decided to do more baseball nails in honor of it! I needed a chance to change my nails again.

The polish I used was OPI Short-STOP! I used two coats of polish here. It was a great formula, but I felt like it was a very typical red. It was a cream formula, so removal wasn't bad because I didn't have to worry about it being a mess.

I used OPI Alpine Snow and Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Pen in Red. I used Nail Vinyls in order to make the chevrons on my middle nail. These were the mini chevrons.

Green Polka Dot Gel Nails

Welcome back! Finally!

Today I wanted to share my nails that I wore for over a week while I was on vacation in Ireland! I've never had gel nails before, but I did them myself because I had my own kit that I bought a while back when it was on clearance. I plan to do a post on the process for doing them, and one for the removal, so this is just going to be the colors and pictures!

Green: FingerPaints Gel Polish Paint Me Oh-So-Modern!
White: FingerPaints Gel Polish Stay True To The Art

I painted a green base on all nails and then used the white for dots! In retrospect, I wish I would have done at least one nail white with green dots. Something to try next time!

Fourth of July: Sinful Colors Star Blast Off

Welcome back!

This is a super late post, but I've been out of the country for a week, and never had the chance to post these while I was gone!

I did these after the fourth, but they're so simple, you could do them any time, really! I've done this same idea for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Cinco de Mayo.

Fourth of July: Fireworks

Welcome back!

I love the Fourth of July. I especially love the fireworks! This year, I got to be up close to them, because my boyfriend is afirefighter and they have to stay close to be ready in case they're needed. I had these special nails!

Black: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Night Fright
White: L.A. Colors Art Deco Striper
Red: Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Striper Red
Blue: Milani Nail Art Blue Print
Gold: Salon Perfect Nail Art Gold Sparkle

I really loved how amazing these turned out! I usually don't say much good about my nails, but these were good and they were so easy to do!

June Favorites

Welcome back!

Today I wanted to share my June mani and polish favorites!

I haven't had a lot of time lately to paint my nails a lot, unfortunately. So June was a pretty slow manicure month for me. I do a couple of manicures that I really loved, though.

Black & Blue Drybrush: This manicure was inspired by @youngwildandpolished. Not long after I thought about doing a dry brush, she did one really similar to this, and I fell in love with it! I love the technique, and the color combinations. What I really love is how easy it is!

China Glaze Spring Mix & Match: Again, I loved everything about this manicure! It was fun and easy to do, but I love the combinations of color that I chose. The colors are from the China Glaze spring Road Trip collection.

Other Favorites:
  • Nail Vinyls. I don't know why, but I just fell in love with these this month! I used so many of them, whether it was the straights, the chevrons or even the french tip ones. You can purchase them here.
  • Picture Nails. I used to absolutely love nails like this. Some examples from this month would be my graduation, Pete the Cat and Dr. Seuss nails. What I mean is where I draw a picture of something on my nails, instead of just having a design.

Mani By Annie: Fourth of July: Dots and Stripes

Welcome back!

Today, I painted one of my friends nails for the Fourth of July! Here's what I did.

Red: Sinful Shine Mirror Mirror
White: Essie Urban Jungle
Blue: Essie Style Cartel
Silver: Essie No Place Like Chrome
Glitter: Essie Set In Stone

For the stripe nails, I painted white, then used super skinny straight Nail Vinyls. I used a dotting tool for the polka dots, and then tape that I cut out in the shape of a heart to make the silver accent nail. It's hard to see the heart, but it's there. <3
