Fourth of July: Dotted American Flag

Welcome back!

Today I finally have some Fourth of July nails for you! These are inspired by the flag, but I did dots instead of stars!

Red: Sally Hansen Patent Gloss Moto
White: Pop•arazzi Icing on the Cake
Blue: Sinful Colors Blue Persuassion
Silver Glitter: Sephora by OPI Flurry Up!

The blue polish was textured, and I used Nail Vinyls to make the stripes. The silver was done using the glitter sponging method.

Memorial Day: Chevron Flag

Welcome back!

Today I did some nails for Memorial Day! I love doing patriotic nails, and starting now, that'll be the majority of the nails I do until the end of the summer.

Red: OPI What's Your Point-setta?
White: Essie Private Weekend
Blue: Wet 'n Wild Megalast Coast to Coast
Silver: Glam Chick (no name)
Stars: Sinful Colors Star Blast Off

For the star nails, I simply painted them blue, and then fished for the star glitter in Star Blast Off and placed them where I wanted.

The chevron nails were painted white first, then top coated with HK Girl fast drying top coat. Once it dried, I placed mini chevron vinyls on it, painted it red, and took the vinyls off immediately.

To get the silver glitter opaque, I sponged it on. I used Glisten & Glow CTRL-ALT-DEL as a barrier for easier clean up.

31 Day Challenge: Day 28

Welcome back!

Today's theme: inspired by a flag!

Today, I was inspired by more than a flag. I was replicating a design done by Chalkboard Nails. I love it! Here is the link to her original art. It is inspired by the American Flag. Hers was done using textured polishes, but I just used regular polishes for mine.

All of the polishes I used were Wet n Wild Megalast polishes. The base was LAC - My Mani? This is from their newest fall collection. The blue was Coast to Coast, which was from the summer "All Access Pass" collection, and the red was Heatwave.

I followed what she did, so definitely check out her page. Basically, I painted the white, let it dry and top coated it. Then placed the striping tape on my nails, and sponged on the blue and red together! It was super easy! I thought it was cute, too. Very patriotic, but the colors made it look "fall ready" patriotic. If that makes sense.

*All polishes were purchased with my own money. All opinions are my own and truthful. I am not sponsored in any way.

Olympic Nail Art

Hello! For this look, I created five designs, all revolving around this year's Winter Olympics! My base, and any white details, was all the same color.

This is Shany nail polish in 09.

Thumb: The American flag was my design for this nail. I created it using nail art striper polishes and a dotting tool.

This is Kiss Nail Art Pearl Blue and Salon Perfect Laser Beam.

Index: A gold medal, created with nail stripers, and a dotting tool.
